Update November 18: ceiling repair work in the foyer
The ceiling repairs in the Foyer are entering a new phase. Work on the last section of the ceiling will start on November 18. This ceiling is also difficult to access. To ensure safe working conditions, new scaffolding will be erected from the second floor, along the glass wall of 't Vat and in front of several classrooms. The contractor is aware of the teaching program and will adjust the work as much as possible to limit disruption. Nevertheless, noise pollution cannot be ruled out during the construction of the scaffolding (November 18–28). During this period, there will be a strong focus on supervision to ensure the safety of staff, students, and visitors.
The scaffolding is expected to remain in place until early February 2026. All areas will remain accessible at all times.

Update 25 February
During this period, the scaffolding in the study area will be dismantled.
Starting in July, the self-study area will be under maintenance. The self-study spots, the Education Service Desk, and the printers will be relocated.
Update September 23
Over the past month, the scaffolding for the ceiling repair work has been built. Wondering how this went? Check out this videofor a timelapse of the scaffolding construction.
Starting Monday, Sept. 23, a new phase of the renovation will begin. Compared to past months, there will be more noise pollution. The old ceiling finish is glued to the substrate and must be removed by machine. This will result in considerable noise pollution for about 4 weeks.

Renovation
The Education Center will be renovated from July 2024 until the second quarter of 2025. The damage caused by the fire, which took place in September 2023, will be repaired during that time.
For this reason, the self-study spots, the Education Service Desk, and the printing area have been relocated.
The education rooms, the walking route to building Ce on the second floor, 't Vat, chesterfield couches, the Terrace and the Foyer will remain accessible.

Printing
Do you want to print? You can find the printers between the espressobar and 't Vat.

Disturbance
We are doing everything we can to minimize disturbance from the renovation, but it won't always be avoidable. We will minimize the work during planned exams.
